The Axon Pump Monitor

The axon pump monitor fitted to the base of a large Downhole oil filled water pump.

This system is for monitoring pumps in deep wells up to 20,000 ft. There is an electronics package mounted on the pump, which will operate up to 150 or 176°C and 10,000 psia. The system gives detailed information on line, of the pump operating efficiency, power circuit condition, and surface supply. The system can also monitor the well conditions, and can be fitted with a reservoir monitoring quality pressure and temperature sensor.

The system utilises an instrument cable to transmit data from the pump to the surface. Axon have a low cost instrument cable to further enhance the performance and cost effectiveness of this system.
