Torque loggers

The Axon torque logger fitted to a Griffith Torque Master.

This is a PC based device which can be fitted to any existing torque machine. The unit uses either a load pin or pressure sensor to measure the actual torque applied by the machine.

The software provided is very easy to use and records both the job details and the make up torque profile (Torque vs Time) and maximum applied torque.

The use of PC based technology allows all recorded make ups to be stored in the machine, which can store in excess of 5million joint make ups.

The software contains a library of pipe joint make up parameters, which the operator can use both as a reference for the correct settings and also a historical reference on how joints were made up on previous occasions.

The software will generate full A4 colour print outs of recorded data which include the customer and job details as well as the recorded readings.

The logger is housed in a steel enclosure, and sealed for workshop environment.

This unit can also provide dump control of torque using a solenoid valve to release pressure from the power pack at the moment the machine reaches the set target torque.

Axon have two models available the ATL unit shown above and a slim line LCD based unit the ARC both of which can be used for torque logging operations.
