The fire pump monitor is a system which monitors the condition and performance of large submerged water pumps such as are used for fire pumping applications. The system includes a series of sensors mounted on a submerged pump, and a surface monitor. The sensor system is linked to a central data logger. The system can monitor pump performance using inlet and outlet pressure and flow, the pump condition using vibration, motor temperature, motor fluid quality, and cable insulation. The system can also monitor power supply quality with voltage and current sensors. The system will validate the condition of a complete pumping system every time it is run. The software supplied produces full reports on pumps condition and allows tracking of pump characteristics over a period of time
