Oil Well fluid level sensing

Axon have a range of fluid detection and measuring sensors. These have been employed in pump monitoring , and well fluid measurement. Sensors can be installed permanently in oil wells and used to measure oil water boundaries, water level, gas oil boundaries, and other fluid transition phases.

This device is an array of fluid identifier sensors. Typically made up of multiple smaller sensor strips.

The sensor array can measure the oil water boundary and the gas oil boundary over long distances. The tool pictured is installed offshore Norway with an array covering 30 meters. The oil water boundary can be measured to within 1mm and gas oil to within 4mm over this distance.

The electronics systems also measures fluid temperatures and pressures in the well. The system is intelligent and allows multiple arrays to be installed in different parts of the well completion.

This sensor array has broken the world record for the maximum number of sensors installed in one Oil well. We have an installation in Norway where a complete Downhole system has 132 sensors all recording in one well.
