Gas lift valve test equipment

Axon can supply state of the art test benches ready for performing testing of gas lift valves.

Test benches available are as follows

Donut tester

The donut tester allows temperature stable GLv units to be placed into the donut pressure test sleeve, and gas pressure applied until the valve opens. The opening pressure is indicated on the electronic and mechanical dial gauges, and two valve test rings are supplied.

Benches will typically run to 6,000 psia, and the donut test rings have removable inserts allowing any type of valve to be accommodated by adding a small adapter insert.

Benches are of all stainless construction.

Axon GLV combination tester

This is a multi function test bench which encloses the complete GLV in a gas tight pressure housing, to more closely simulate downhoel conditions.

The test bench can be used to establish the valve opening pressure, by use of the fully adjustable gas regulator, to 6,000 psia. It can also determine the valve position within 0.001mm at different applied pressures using the digital micrometer probe.

In addition an orifice plate flow meter is included to allow leak testing to be carried out, at various applied gas pressures.

Aging testers

The aging tester allows up to 4 GLV's to be immersed in water at up to 6,000 psia, for aging the valves. The bench is completely self contained and only requires an air line connected up to it.

Thermostats

Thermostats are supplied large enough to accommodate up to 10 GLV units and have specially designed cradles for mounting the valves while immersed.

Units are stainless and suitable for continuous use.
