The TPG system is a set of components designed to allow service installation companies a High specification option for gauge components, without the expense of using intelligent gauge systems. The system uses the latest technology and has been designed to provide the most reliable and effective way of producing a permanently installed pressure and temperature sensor, at the bottom of an oil well.
System components include gauges, tubing based mounting mandrels, tubing collar based mounting mandrels,1/4 inch tubular cable, wellhead penetrators, and surface supplies and software.
Gauge design incorporates metal to metal seals, triple pressure barriers on the cable termination, Fully NACE compatible housings, full pressure test sleeve on cable termination and mandrel mounting. Rotating mandrel mount allows gauge to be attached ot the mandrel with the cable already terminated.
The gauges will measure up to 20,000 psia, and 200 °C and can be mounted up to 40,000 feet away from the surface interface using a mono conductor cable.
Surface equipment is very simple and is a DIN rail mounted unit
The surface unit is connected up using either a direct RS232 serial link or an RS485 multi-drop data connection. Data and control is implemented with a Modbus protocol
